Department of English

The Department of English is consisted of four faculty members named – Mrs. Priyanka Saikia Das, (M.A., B.Ed., L.L.B.), Upasana Saikia (M.A. B.Ed.), Kashmiri Saikia (M.A.) and Nibedita Saikia (M.A.). The department tries its level best for the upliftment of the students right from the beginning of the session by conducting seminars, presentations etc. Amongst them, the best presenters are also awarded for their encouragement as well as better performance. To enhance the hidden literary talent of the students, the department conducts various competitions viz story-writing, report-writing etc. In order to explore the hidden potentials of the students our department publishes a wall magazine every year. We, the teachers take painstaking efforts to provide the study materials keeping in view the requirements of our esteemed students and the changing trends of present education scenario. It gives us an immense pleasure to inform that right from the establishment of the college i.e. 2003, this department has been producing excellent result till date. Simultaneously, the students have also unanimously endorsed the collective efforts, sincerity as well as the patience of the teachers that they have shown for the betterment and scintillating future of the department.
